View profile →Like Bowie and Beck, Shrink the Giant's discography seems to suffer from a multiple personality disorder. They boast an infectious diversity of styles, with mood swings from playful to thoughtful, marked by outbursts of indie-pop mania and occasional, alternative, spacy seclusion. If Paramore adopted the child of Metric and Flaming Lips, it would probably be named "Shrink the Giant."

View profile →The Lineage
Salt Lake City has been producing world-class women in music since the 1960s. The Clingers -- four sisters from Orem -- were among the first all-female rock bands in America. SHeDAISY went platinum. The Aces hit the Billboard charts. SubRosa toured the world.
Most of them didn't get the recognition they deserved while it was happening. The Rock Salt is here to document the record.
On March 28, 2026 -- International Women in Music Day -- the lineage continues at Leatherheads. Magda Vega opens the night. Shrink the Giant brings the power. Willöh closes it out. Three different sounds. One unbroken thread.
This show is part of Women in Music Month -- 28 days of content celebrating women who built the Salt Lake City music scene. Follow @the.rocksalt on TikTok and Instagram throughout March.
