Open Casket Road show was formed in 2013 when Utah post punk band Waters Rising had to take a 6 year hiatus for school. Their... percussionist Glen Goss had a few songs on the lap-harp for a potentially new project he described as "funeral folk music" So for the next few years he and remaining guitarist of Waters Rising, Eric Lyman formed OCRS mostly as a studio project with Eric on the upright bass.
