Clubber Lang and the Heavyweights were a side project of the bands Chump and Richard Nixon and the Young Republicans formed in... Provo, Utah in 1997. The band strictly did punk rock covers of 80s pop songs. They recorded 2 EPs which later became known as The I Want Balboa LP and broke up in 1998 when band members moved onto other projects.
